“Make it easy to operate, make it safe and make it last” -B.C. “Matt” Mathews, Founder
- Est. 1954 -
M-C began operations in 1954 with the production of hay and forage flail choppers, then in 1957, the first continuous flow grain dryers rolled out of the factory. Mathews Company has a reputation for building durable, high quality equipment designed to give years of trouble-free service to the customer.
IRON HORSE QUALITY
Founder, B.C. “Matt” Mathews had a passion for locomotive trains. So much so that he purchased an “Iron Horse” steam locomotive which still stands beside the Mathews Company headquarters in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Matt admired the quality, strength and reliability of the old locomotives and believed that everything his company would produce should be reflective of these attributes. This old engine and rail car serve as a constant reminder to our employees to build “Iron Horse Quality” into all M-C equipment.
